Inside Sales Representative
The ideal candidate is a competitive self-starter that thrives in a fast-paced environment in the electrical wholesale industry. You must be comfortable making dozens of calls per day, working with partners, generating interest, qualifying prospects, and closing sales in the commercial, industrial and residential markets. You must also participate in the bid process by outlining needs and assembling the proposal for cost associated with a project.
Responsibilities
Source new sales opportunities through inbound lead follow-up and outbound cold calls and emails.
Prospect call preparation including company background research and other pertinent lead information.
May lead/participate in presentations to new clients. Establish and maintain effective contact with Clients, represent the company at industry trade and convention shows as needed.
Enter, update and maintain information on leads, prospects, and opportunities.
May assist in the development and implementation of the strategic marketing plan, department sales objective, and individual sales plan.
Provide input and feedback on issues relevant to client programs, work in progress, marketing initiative and sales assistance.
Perform additional assignments per supervisor’s direction.
Qualifications
Advanced knowledge and skills in the use of various Microsoft Office applications including: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Must understand the sales process and be able to “close the sale” because work performance has potential profit and loss implications.
Must maintain confidentiality and contribute to a team-oriented work environment.
At least 1 – 3 years of sales experience.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to multi-task, organize, and prioritize work.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for quoting lighting jobs off of plans, fixture schedules, and lighting specifications on construction projects. This may also include building lighting layouts/bill of materials from blueprints and working with customer to suggest lighting projects on design-build projects.
Responsibilities
Identify leads, manage prospects and acquire new business.
Service existing clients.
Effectively demonstrate product line.
Meet established goals for territory development and sales quotas.
Execute business development action plans for defined targets. Monitor sales activities and adjust to market changes as necessary.
Make “cold calls” and follow up on leads identified in the company’s business development plan.
Participate in onsite visits to new and current clients – travel required.

2+ years experience in cold calling sales with strong track record of success.

Must have a proven record of sales, building relationships and closing work – ability to define markets, qualify customers, and track and follow leads.
The ideal candidate will sell construction and construction management services by establishing and maintaining effective contact with potential buyers. In coordination with Sales Manager, participate in the bid process by outlining needs and assembling the proposal for costs associated with a project. This job requires extensive travel.
